Brief Bio | Business owners work with me to increase the value and sellability of their companies so that one day they can successfully exit them. My unique focus is on educating and advising my clients to *prepare* their businesses for a sale, whether they want to sell or not. Why? Because the same qualities that make a business really sellable are the same qualities that make owning a business enjoyable, not to mention easier to transition to employees or family. It also makes the business a safer asset to have if life happens to throw you any sudden curveballs. When the time comes to exit, I help owners sell or transition their companies confidentially, often without the general public ever knowing. My area of focus is tech and manufacturing businesses in the Chicago with revenues between $300k - $10M. But since I started in 2005, I've advised or represented a wide variety of traditional main street businesses and niche lower middle-market companies in the Chicagoland area, from speed-dating to medical cannabis, machine shops and defense suppliers. No matter what industry a business happens to be in, I have valuable experiences to draw on when helping clients with their exit strategy. When I'm not working, I'm spending time with my wife and three children, traveling, gardening, or taking on DIY projects around the house. |
