Brief Bio

Ms. Wyker has over 25 years of experience in start-ups, M&A, turnaround, strategic planning, financial management and scaling operations in the healthcare and biotech industry. As a business owner, entrepreneur, and start-up specialist, Ms. Wyker has a keen understanding of the nexus that occurs when finance and implementation meet vision and operations.
In the 1990s she started and grew multi-specialty group practices, implemented new service lines, negotiated full risk contracts including solid organ transplants for multiple health systems, co-developed a reinsurance product for organ transplant, and started the 501a (University Physicians Group) for University of Texas Health Science Center and University Health System. While at UPG she negotiated and implemented fee for service, full risk, military & direct employer contracts increasing operating revenues 55% in four years. She also launched a Medicaid HMO, Texas Universities Health Plan in the San Antonio market, which was purchased by Superior Health. In 2004 Ms. Wyker co-founded PTRX, Inc. a full service PBM which was acquired by SXC Health Solutions in 2011 for $77M.
She joined the start-up team for Tenzing Health as the COO, a new co sponsored by Vanguard Health Systems and Martin Ventures where she developed and operationalized a new patient care service model, effectively reducing Vanguard’s employee healthcare spend by 18% annually including a 33% reduction in pharmacy cost. From there she pursued a hospital acquisition in San Antonio and went on to become the interim CEO of Forest Park Medical Center Shared Services, executing a wind-down and transition of four hospitals in bankruptcy to new owners.

She regularly provides proposal management and technical writing expertise to managed care organizations throughout the country bidding on Medicaid, Medicare, and Tricare lines of business.

Ms. Wyker holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Scranton and an MBA in Finance from Marymount University.
